best product for bulking at the Gym?

I tried Bsn Cellmass (which contains creatine) and it is hurting my kidneys. Is there anything safer I can buy to continue bulking up?. I do drink protein shakes and eat protein bars. but i feel i need something extra.

If you can’t handle Creatine Monohydrate (about as safe as you can get), you probably can’t handle most other supplements. It’s fairly well-studied compared to some products. I’m very surprised that you had kidney trouble with it.

The real key to safety with creatine (or most other supplements) is to drink TONS of water, and dropping ALL caffeine, period. Creatine makes me phenomenally thirsty, and the average Joe just does not drink enough H2O to keep up with it. Add coffee/soda to the mix and your kidneys are really having to work hard.

I wouldn’t go to any other of these ripped-blast-fuel-kill-shred kind of idiotic products. If I were you, and was absolutely bent on taking a supplement, I’d do low doses of creatine and up the water intake. If you still have problems, I’d dump just about all supplements, even high-protein powders (yet more kidney stress).

Y’know, you don’t have to be on supps to get big… I’ve been “natural” for years now, and can still put the hammer to it.
