How do I get fruit punch bug juice stain out of couch?
My two year old decided to make a puddle on my couch with her fruit punch big juice. So now I have a red spot (rather big) on my couch. Not sure what kind of fabric it is. Not leather, or vinyl or anything like that. Just a regular couch I guess. But a rather expensive one that my parents gave me years ago. Please Please Please Help!!! lol
Try mixing 2 tablespoons of ammonia with 1 cup of water, then dip a sponge in it and rub gently, Take paper towel and blot until you have removed as much as you can, and redo it again, blotting is very important as you will see the juice coming off, Lay a piece of paper towel on top , until the next day. Now take a few drops of dawn for dishes and mix that with 1 cup of warm water and use the same method as above.
Summer Fruit Punches
When the weather gets hot, most people reach for water. But, this summer get your daily water intake by drinking your fruit in the form of punch. Here are some ideas for creating great summer fruit punches.
What makes punch different from, say, fruit juice or water is that it packs, well, a punch. Usually the addition of a soda or some type of carbonation makes it sparkle and tingle on your tongue and down your throat. It is the perfect way to get your fruit and increase your hydration this summer.
One thing to try and avoid with drinks like punches, teas and smoothies is too many calories. Many of these calories come from added sugar, which makes them empty calories. Using fruit juices from concentrate can help with the sweet taste without adding too many additional calories.
Pick your fruit
The best fruits are those that are ripe, sweet and ready to be eaten. You can add the fruit directly to your punch or create a puree with it to concentrate the sweetness.
Whichever fruit you use, slice and cut it into cubes. This makes for easier addition to the punch bowl so that everyone can have some in their drink.
Choose your juice
Pick a juice that will complement the other ingredients in the punch. For instance, if you are making a berry punch, try using cranberry juice or even apple juice as the base. With stone fruits (apricots, nectarines, plums or peaches) use juice from one of these to start with. Don’t forget white grape juice when considering sweet juices to flavor your punch.
Add the sparkle
Want to wow your kids? Try a fizzy fruit drink. Strawberries work well for this. Combine your juice, hulled strawberries and a sweetener (can use sugar or nectar or honey) in a blender until completely mixed. Pour into the punch bowl. Add ginger ale soda. You’ll immediately see the foamy fizz as you stir.
To lower calories and still get the fizz, add seltzer water. Depending on how much punch you are making (pitcher or a giant bowl), add between one to three cups of seltzer. You want the sparkle but don’t dilute the taste.
For alcoholic beverages, add sparkling wine instead of seltzer. It will enhance the taste without adding too much alcohol. This drink goes equally well with dinner parties or backyard barbeques.
Add the fruit
It’s time to add the saved fruit that you sliced. The flesh of the fruit will soak up the flavors of the juice and the seltzer so that each bite releases a burst of sparkle that everyone will enjoy.
Serve punch over ice. If you want, create fruit juice ice cubes to keep melting ice from diluting the taste
Let your fruit do double duty. Use them in a host of summer fruit punch recipes of your own creation. While you’re at it check out the best ways of storing summer fruits.
