- Asthma symptoms may be more severe,
- Heart disease,

There are ways to prevent a deficiency in Vitamin D. Exposure to natural sunlight, just twenty minutes a day, will produce an acceptable level of Vitamin D (up to 20,000 IU). Vitamin D is produced by your skin, in response to ultraviolet light radiation from our natural sunlight. You cannot produce it through glass as you sit in your car or in your home. It must be direct light. During the colder months, you may need to take a Vitamin D supplement.
