Does Tretinoin Cream and Vitamin E Oil help or hurt skin?

I’ve been using Tretinoin Cream to clear up my acne. While I still have some breakouts mostly on my cheeks, my acne has gotten a lot better. It has made my face red now, but it no longer peals (and yes, I make sure I only have it on at night). I am fairly happy with this product, but I’m worried that the redness means that my skin is more likely to be damaged.

I heard Vitamin E oil will help get rid of some acne scars I had, but I was thinking if I put it on daily it would make my skin even more oily than it already is. Is this an accurate guess or not?

So are you familiar with these products and do they help?

Vitamin E is definitely good for your skin. Hair and nails, too. If you’re worried about it being too oily you can take oral E supplements and get the same benefits.

As for the redness, you can try products to help the irritation caused by the cream. That can help reduce further damage- irritation or redness will only be permanent if it reaches the tissue level, since your skin constantly renews itself. Or find another product with the same active ingredient as the one you’re using that has helped with the acne, but that might cause less irritation.

Revitol Streach Mark Cream Review

Revitol Stretch Mark Cream

Strie, or stretch marks as they are better known, are a scarring of the dermis (skin) that leads to discoloration in a striped pattern.

Stretch marks are caused by the rapid stretching of the skin due to rapid Weight Gain, or more frequently, pregnancy.

Existing striae can be hard to get rid of. Current treatments usually include use of a laser or prescription creams.

Fortunately, there are a number of proven all natural treatments for stretch marks.

The New York Times recently wrote,”for those looking for an alternative, scientists have found that vitamin E creams are more effective in treating stretch marks.”.The specific type of vitamin E recommended in the 2008 study reported by the New York Times is called tocopheral.

As vitamin E encourages the production of new skin cells, it increases skin elasticity and firmness and helps in the skin regeneration process.

A Fox News investigation found that, “using vitamin A at the inception of pregnancy is essential to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. This will help reduce inflammation and stave off the negative effects of the hormones in the skin.”

Vitamin A is an essential vitamin and is best known for having beneficial effects on vision. However Vitamin A is just as important to the largest organ; the skin. Vitamin A may help improve the appearance of striae and regulate skin cell growth.

Another study found that panthenol (a form of vitamin B) was highly effective in preventing stretch marks in pregnant women when applied as a cream. This was especially true when combined with vitamin E.

Revitol Stretch Mark Cream includes vitamin E and panthenol. The cream is all natural. It can prevent striae before they happen and eliminate marks that already exist. The cream is easy to apply and has no bad smell.
