Burn Fat Increase Energy

if fat is just extra stored “food” then why does it lack some of the other elements that food contains (i.e. v

when the body recieves more food than it needs, the excess food becomes stored as fat. That being said, if the extra food itself becomes stored as fat then it seems like the vitamins, e.t.c. that were in the extra food would also be stored along with the fat. So how is the “food” able to be stored(as fat), yet not contain all of the nutrients that with it originally? If it can be stored then surely it can also retain the nutrients that it originally encompassed. Otherwise it is pretty much useless as a form of energy other than being used merely to survive during periods of extreme famine (because even if you have a lot of fat you will still feel hungry any time you do not eat. You would be more likely to survive without eating (as long as you drank water) but you would still feel miserable and hungry.

Your body takes the vitamins and nutrients out of the body before it is stored as fat. Fat is just stored because throughout most of history, humans have been hunter-gatherers and with that occupation comes regular famines. Our bodies have learned that in times of plenty, we better store an energy source because we don’t know how long it will be before our next meal. Sadly, with the advent of better technology and harvesting methods, we are no longer at risk for famine, but our bodies haven’t had enough time to adapt to that.

How To Lose Fat Fast – Top 23 Ways To Boost Your Metabolism And Burn Fat Fast

The best way to shed weight fast and  naturally (besides getting proper nutrition) is to increase your metabolism. Having a faster metabolism is what will help you lose pounds (as much as 25 pounds in a month is certainly possible), burn fat, and so much more. What’s even better is that you will be doing so consistently, quickly, and permanently! In today’s post I hope to help you in understanding more on what exactly the metabolism is, and also many of the most effective ways for you to naturally increase it as high as possible! Continue reading on to learn more…

Firstly, what is the metabolism?

Well, to skip over all the medical mumble jumble, basically, your metabolism is not a specific part of your body, it’s a specific function of your body that processes Food Into Energy. This process will either be catabolism or anabolism.

Catabolism is where your metabolism will break down foods into energy. Anabolism is where your metabolism will break down foods and store them… as extra body fat! One surefire way to become anabolic is by eating too many calories at once. When you eat a lot of calories, and your body has nothing to do with these excess calories, then your body is forced to store these excess calories… as excess fat (check out #19 below).

So, as you can see, increasing your metabolism into a catabolic state is surely the best way to weight naturally and quickly, and with that said, I have for you my top 23 ways to boost your metabolism to lose up to 25 pounds of stubborn fat lightning fast:

1. Build Muscle – The first thing I would like to mention before I explain why building lean muscle is for sure one of the best ways to shed weight fast is that if you are a woman, you do not have to worry about building HUGE muscles! For women developing massive muscles, this is only done by taking supplements, lifting extremely heavy weights, and other unnatural things.

Now, the reason it is so important to build muscle tissue is because having more muscle tissue on you than fat tissue will AUTOMATICALLY burn away calories! This happens due to an increase to your metabolism during a weight training workout, and also due to an increase of your resting metabolic rate (when your body repairs muscle tissue during rest).

2. Interval Cardiovascular Exercise – This type of aerobic workout involves alternating between high and low intensity with your exercise. An example would be to jog for 2 minutes and then kick it up a notch for 30 seconds and sprint. Repeat this for a period of 20 total minutes and not only will you have had a more fun and motivating workout, you will have also increased your metabolism AND resting metabolic rate… plus this is a great stress buster!

3. Eat More Frequently – I’m pretty sure you’ve heard this dieting tip at one point or another… and I HIGHLY recommend you follow it. When you eat more frequently (such as with 4-6 meals), you are keeping your digestive system active… and will therefore increase your metabolism. You also help defeat annoying hunger and craving pangs!

4. Get Omega Fatty Acids In Your Diet – Omega fatty acids (and other healthy fats such as monounsaturated) are found in nuts, fish, fish oil supplements, olive oil, and more. Getting healthy fats in your diet will increase your metabolism since it will help with regulating your blood sugar levels, decreasing your susceptibility to leptin, and reducing inflammation.

5. The MIGHTY Green Tea – Drinking at least a couple of cups (I recommend five or more for SUPER results) of green tea everyday will increase your metabolism and is also a great source for antioxidants to help cleanse your body and help you shed weight fast. Drinking green tea will help boost your metabolism due to an active ingredient found in green tea called catechins.

6. NEVER Force Your Body To PRESERVE Energy – What does that mean? Well, if you go on one of those infamous “low-calorie” diets or even those insane starvation (fasting) diets, you can end up slowing your metabolism down. This happens because when you significantly reduce calories, your body thinks you are starving, and will then slow down Fat Loss to maintain your energy levels! To prevent this from happening, first avoid those “low-calorie” types of diets, and second, I recommend that you eat more than 3 meals a day (mentioned in #3 above)… BUT… make sure that each meal is small (such as around 300 calories).

7. START Right… And You’ll FINISH Strong – Yes, the VERY common tip of ensuring that you eat a well-balanced breakfast has been beaten to death… but it still deserves to be mentioned again, and again, and again! Eating a “smart” breakfast (foods high in protein and complex carbs) will not just help you with sustained energy all day long, it will also help increase your metabolism.

8. Keep Away From Trans Fat – This is the most important type of fat to avoid by all means necessary. The health damaging effects of trans fat is flat-out scary! One of the problems eating foods high in trans fat can cause is a reduction in your metabolism. It does this by making your body insulin resistant, causing inflammation, and adhering to liver and fat cells.

9. Eat As Fresh As Possible – Organic foods, raw foods, etc. are some of the most important types of foods to add into your diet to help in SEVERAL areas (energy, fat loss, Weight Loss, increasing your metabolism, digestive health, heart health, and even improving the functions of your brain and mood)!

10. Protein – Healthy protein (turkey breast, chicken breast, egg whites, nuts, organic fat-free milk, organic fat-free yogurt, Whey Protein shakes, and more) is not just a popular nutrient amongst bodybuilders, it is a vital nutrient that can help you in so many ways… such as by SKYROCKETING your metabolism! The reason protein can help increase your metabolism is because your body has to burn a ton of calories just to process it! Not to mention, getting plenty of protein in your diet will fight off hunger pangs and so much more! Also, I recommend that you have some type of healthy protein with every meal for best results.

11. Avoid So-Called “Healthy” Foods – Many of those low-fat, low-carb, etc. food options you see at your local grocery store are actually not healthy for you. The reason why is because with reducing one bad part of a particular type of food, more than likely another bad area was increased to substitute (such as more sugar, more fat, aspartame, etc.).

12. Go Green – Dark green leafy veggies (spinach, dark green leafy lettuce such as romaine, broccoli, kale, collard greens, and more) can help increase your metabolism since they will enhance your digestive system and also because they are high in iron. Another benefit of dark green leafy veggies is that they will also support your red blood cells to supply nutrients throughout your body.

13. Detoxify Your Body – Processed foods, tap water, and even the air we breathe all contain contaminants that over time, will accumulate in our bodies in the form of toxins… better known as free radicals. This waste can not only be harmful for your overall health, it can cause pounds of excess waste to accumulate. If you detoxify your body (drinking more water, eating fiber, eating foods such as berries or drinking liquids such as green tea that are high in antioxidants, etc.), you can help speed up your metabolism, improve your overall health… and so much more.

14. Grapefruit – Eating this super-food can help boost your metabolic rate by helping to decrease insulin levels.

15. The Number One Essential – Water! You can increase your metabolic rate by up to 30% by drinking more water. A good rule of thumb to help you figure out how much you need to drink is to simply divide the weight you are currently at now, and drink this amount in ounces of FRESH filtered water each day. I recommend you don’t waste your money on buying spring water. You can get similar quality water and SAVE A TON of money by simply getting a water filtration device for your faucet instead.

16. THIS Each Day Keeps The Doctor Away – That’s right… good ol’ apples! Apples are by far one of the greatest super-foods on the planet. Eating them will help in improving your metabolism, decreasing hunger pangs, decreasing cravings, SIGNIFICANTLY helping your digestive system, and more! Now, although this is a VERY powerful and VERY healthy food, given that it is somewhat high in calories and simple carbs, I recommend that you get a minimum amount each day (such as 1 or 2).

17. Berries – Adding berries (blue, black, etc.) to your diet will help detoxify your body, increase your Fat Burning abilities, and improve your overall health.

18. Make It SPICY! – Many researches have indicated that adding hot spices to your foods can significantly help raise your bodies fat burning ability. This is because many spices (such as cayenne pepper, jalapeño peppers, and more) contain Capsaicin, and this will help in increasing your bodies fat burning hormones.

19. Avoid Eating Too Late At Night – Especially foods high in bad carbs (sugar, white flour based, etc.) and fatty foods. Eating foods too late at night is a problem because when you sleep, your body doesn’t need energy… and food is used as energy. So what happens to this food when it’s not being used as energy? That’s right, your metabolism slows down and stores it as extra body fat!

20. You Cheater! – If you want to trick your metabolism into increasing as high as possible, and if you want to actually enjoy dieting instead of dreading it, then one awesome thing you can do is to have cheat foods… THE RIGHT WAY. Yes, there is a right and wrong way with cheat days. Most people think that it’s okay to go absolutely insane on their cheat days and this is further from the truth. You have to eat the right types of foods in the right patterns for this to work properly and not end up sabotaging your metabolism instead of strategically elevating it. This website HERE has more details on this awesome dieting trick.

21. Deep Breathing – Your metabolism requires oxygen… so doing deep breathing exercises will definitely help in increasing the health of your metabolism. Also, this is one surefire way to help decrease your stress levels as well.

22. Getting Good Quality Sleep – If you sleep straight for at least 7-8 hours EVERY night, you can help improve many areas of your life (energy, brain functions, and in this case… your metabolism).

23. Reduce Stress – Lowering the stress in your life can have a huge impact on your body’s ability to efficiently burn off fat. This is because too much stress can:

A. Cause the chemical cortisol to release in your body… and too much of it will be stored as extra body fat.

B. Affect your bodies metabolism from working effectively.

Some things you can do to relieve stress are exercising, deep breathing exercises (such as what I mentioned above), meditation, fun activities, hobbies, decreasing caffeine consumption, eating fresher foods, not driving during rush hour (lol), and just simply LAUGHING!).

Also, the best diet that I strongly recommend to INCREASE your metabolism and Melt Away Fat Fast (10 lbs. of fat every 2 weeks) PERMANENTLY, is a diet system that will CUSTOM generate a menu plan of fat burning foods that will raise your bodies fat burning hormones.

By following this program for 8 weeks, I easily lost an amazing 52 pounds of fat and I flattened my stubborn belly.

What are the optimum conditions for protein digestion to work in the human body?

Would they require a specific amount of temperature…pH level? or are those just for enzymes?

Please list some sources for me to check out.

Thanks!

protein digestion is carried out by enzymes like pepsin.Enzymes require very specific conditions because their specific 3D shape is affected by those conditions.pepsin acts in the stomach where the pH is acidic around 1.It’s the optimum pH for pepsin.the optimum temperature for most of the enzymes is around 40(body temp 30)When the temp is above 60 they become inactive because they lose their 3D shape.

How Much Protein Should You Eat Every Day?

Everyone knows that protein is an essential part of your daily diet, and meeting a minimum protein level throughout the day is vital for having the energy you need as the day rolls on. Some people, however, are unaware of the fact that there is also such thing as having too much protein in your diet, because your body doesn’t know what to do with excess protein and this can cause more harm than good. Having excess protein in your diet can cause just as many harmful effects for your health as not getting enough protein can. If you are increasing your protein intake but your calorie intake or exercise habit is not increasing along with it, you can actually put your body through more stress than it needs or than it can handle for that matter.

Your body requires protein on a daily basis in order to repair and build your muscles along with other vital body tissues. Protein allows your body to create the hormones that it needs for optimum health, and to make the enzymes that are needed for metabolic and digestive processes. If you do not consume enough protein on a daily basis, your body may turn to your muscle instead, breaking it down to find the energy it needs.

Proteins are comprised of amino acids, which are essentially building blocks, and there are somewhere around twenty different amino acids, some of which are actually created by your body. There are nine different amino acids, however, that cannot be synthesized by the body, and these are known as essential amino acids. The only way to get these essential amino acids is by eating whole foods that contain them. It is vital that you eat a variety of different protein foods every single day so that your body can get all of the essential amino acids that it needs.

There are a number of excellent whole food sources of protein that offer all nine of the essential amino acids, including meat, turkey, fish, eggs, chicken, cheese, milk, soy and yogurt. You can also find some, but not all, of the nine essential amino acids in plant food sources such as beans and peas and other legumes, nuts, Peanut Butter and some seeds. If you are a vegetarian, then it is vital that you find the right balance of whole food plant sources including vegetables, legumes, seeds, nuts and grains in order to get all of the essential amino acids that you need.

The amount of protein that you need is dependent upon your age, the size of your body, and how active you tend to be, or how much energy you burn throughout an average day. Most teenagers, for example, need between 40 and 50 grams of protein per day. The best way to get an estimate of how much protein you need is to take your weight and multiply it by about 0.40, and you will have the number of grams of protein that you need for a day. So if you weigh 150lbs for example, and you multiply that by 0.40, you will need 60 grams of protein every day for optimum health. This is just an estimate however, and there are a number of characteristics that will impact this number, such as whether or not you are an athlete or play sports.

Many of the whole food sources of protein are excellent at delivering the protein that you need. For example, fish, beef, chicken and shrimp can provide as many as 21 grams of protein per 3 oz serving. A single cup of yogurt can provide 11 grams of protein, and cooked lentils and tofu can provide 9 grams of protein with only a half cup of food. Other excellent sources for protein include bulgur, kashi, oats, millet, cooked egg, hummus, soy milk, cooked beans, cheese and cow’s milk. There are a number of different protein supplements that come in the form of bars, powders and shakes. Usually though, most people get their much needed protein, rendering these supplements unnecessary in most cases. But if you need to put more protein into your diet, make sure your protein supplement contains several forms of protein (not just Whey Protein) AND the protein includes an enzyme additive for protein digestion. This will ensure your body can digest the protein and you acheive maximum benefits from taking the supplement.

What career path should I go with such a degree?

I am A Nutrition and Dietetics major and I originally began the program just to explore my interest in healthy lifestyle choices for the optimum quality of life and I’ve always also been interested in natural foods and environmentally safe projects like in sustainability, and so on… I’m into the green stuff, in other words.
So my question is… With a Nutrition degree, most graduates will enter an internship which is a year long and consists of like clinical experience and gives graduates experience before they can test to become a Registered Dietitian. Now I considered becoming an RD but then I would be leaving my agricultural/environmental interest out and I have been considering careers in that field as well.
So is there a job out there that entails natural remedies in lifestyles or idk something with food and environmental issues…?

But i don’t wanna be a teacher, k thanks :)

You can work in the food industries in designing and creating foods that last years, but retain their healthiness. You can also go into agriculture and help design solar energy that recycles itself and creates natural energy for power and for humans. Anything in between can also be achieved, but there are two wide range ideas. Search the subject food design and energy design. You could work for whole foods, or shell, or anyone in between. Nice choice of career by the way, it is impressive.

America – An Affluent But Severely Malnourished Country – (Part 2) The Solution

Our American citizenry is shockingly overweight and even more shockingly, malnourished. How could this be true of the most affluent country on earth?

I believe that this condition is directly related to the large amounts of processed and refined foods that we consume as well as animal flesh, and animal by-products. When our sedentary lifestyles are added to this unsound mix the result is nothing short of a recipe for disaster. Since many estimate our health care bill to be upwards of four trillion dollars within the next five years or so, clearly we are in desperate need of a solution.

Fortunately there is a simple answer to the problem of malnutrition in this country, and it lies in the regular consumption of the most nutritious food group on planet earth. But what is the most nutritious food calorie for calorie that we can readily obtain? The answer is “GREENS.” This particular food group is like no other on earth in that it can supply just about all nutritional needs for humans. A quick glance at the nutritional content of a host of different green vegetables will show that this food group is rich in almost every essential vitamin and mineral as well as protein. It is impossible to dispute how good this chlorophyll rich food is for the human body but what is disputable is how we can consume enough of these “greens” to actually experience optimum nutrition and how can we make them palatable enough to do so?

One of the problems with consuming greens is that they have a composition which is quite hardy to say the least. Although greens possess more valuable nutrients than any other food group, these nutrients are locked inside the cells of the plants which have a molecular structure that makes them very tough to penetrate. These cells are made of this tough material because they provide protection for the plant through harsh weather, insect attacks, pesticides etc.

Because the vitamins and minerals are stored inside of the tough cells of the plant, in order to release the precious nutrients the walls of the cells need to be broken down. This however, is not an easy task, yet without thorough mastication the nutrients are not very useful to the human body so the simple fact is that we must chew these greens until we obtain an almost creamy consistency. Of course most of us don’t have the time, energy, nor jaw strength to do an adequate job of thoroughly chewing tough greens, and besides, they don’t have a terribly inviting taste which makes matters worse.

Regrettably if complete mastication isn’t accomplished not only will we miss out on valuable nutrients but we will also invariably experience the unpleasantness of indigestion which will tend to make us find excuses not to eat these precious living foods at all. Speaking for myself, I doubt that I would be willing to sustain any long campaign of eating enough greens if I had to chew each mouthful to a creamy consistency in order to attain the nutritional benefits as well as to escape indigestion.

The simple solution to this problem is a good blender. A blender can easily rupture the tough cells of the plant and basically do the chewing for you. You will enjoy total assimilation of the essential nutrients and actually the process of assimilation will begin at the very moment the blended greens come in contact with your mouth.

Unfortunately however, there is another slight problem. Let’s say you have just put a bunch of “kale” in your blender and added water, and then blended to a creamy consistency. It’s all good until you take the lid off the blender. With the lid off you begin to feel queasy and a bit nauseated due to the dark green color of the liquid and the strong smell of wheatgrass and this before you ever attempt to drink it. Let’s face it, the mixture is almost unconsumable. Wonderfully nutritious to be sure, but how can we make it so we can ingest this concoction without throwing up?

The answer is to add fruit. Apples, bananas, mango’s, oranges, strawberries, or whatever fruit you have in the kitchen would be just fine. When your “Green Smoothie” consists of at least 40% fruit, you will notice that the resulting bright green concoction will be pleasant, and actually quite tasty. It won’t be too sweet, nor too bitter but rather it will be refreshingly zesty.

By blending at least 40% fruit with your greens you will find that consuming your daily intake of this incredibly nutritious food source will be a pleasurable experience and not a chore. You will receive all the nutrition locked inside the plant plus the healthy benefits of fruit and all in a very tasty and exceptionally easy to make smoothie. Give it a try!

I believe the American diet is literally killing us and that a steady flow of money and perks from the meat, egg, and dairy industries to the U.S. government is the reason we have had a long sustained brainwashing campaign that has precipitated the shift from a predominantly plant-based diet to an animal-based diet. The result has been an unprecedented increase in heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and cancers of all varieties. I believe Americans are suffering from a lack of truthful information concerning our diets. I enjoy writing motivational articles that will help to correct the problem regarding this lack of information and also examine the prevailing misinformation in the light of truth.
