Best Pre-Workout Supplement?
Hi I want recommendations for a good pre-workout supplement. I have tried NO explode which I like but I find the effects of the caffeine and other stimulants tend to wear off very quickly. I’ve also tried Muscletech Nano vapor but this did very little for me. If you could tell me what you use/advise and the reasons and a rough price that would be great thanks.
I’ve used NO Explode, I remember that it was pretty good. I’m currently using Gaspari Nutrition‘s SuperPump 250, and it works pretty good. I wouldn’t worry too much about the caffeine aspect of the supplement, just focus on the effects it has during the workout and afterwards. You need to believe that it works, don’t stress that you don’t feel anything because there is (think of it as a placebo effect).
I also take Gaspari Nutrition Size On (during/post workout) along with the pre-workout drink. I feel that has more effect than the pre-workout drink.
Here’s my stack:
Animal Pak 44 packs (at least 30 mins before workout, after eating)
L-Glutamine (muscle recovery; mix with post-workout drink & before bed)
Omega 3 supplement
GN Pre-&Post-workout drinks
It’s rather simple, but it gets the job done. To tell you the truth, I feel that the pre-workout drink is about as effective as just psyching yourself up, but that’s just me.
I buy all my supplements on bodybuilding.com, if you become a member you get 10% off about two months after every order you make, and the prices are already pretty low so that’s good. Sometimes you get good deals on new items and such, I just bought two units of a creatine mix at 20% off, and I didn’t really even need it!
